Transline is widely recognized for our Guardhouse product line and as a distributor of coin and collectible supplies. Over the years, as we developed the Guardhouse line of products, we also became a direct source in the industry for custom injection molded and vacuum formed products. These products include coin tubes, coin capsules, acrylic holders and boxes, as well as vacuum formed items such as display box inserts, molded holder inserts and coin pages.

Molded plastics are commonly used to display or protect collectibles. For example, clear acrylic cases comprised of a friction-fit lid and base are commonly seen numismatic holders. Other examples include round coin capsules, coin tubes, slabs and plastic boxes. A variety of materials such as polypropylene, PMMA, polystyrene or ABS can be utilized for your project, with each offering a unique set of qualities and physical characteristics to server your requirements.

Vacuum formed, or thermoformed, parts help complete the suite of custom and stock product we design and manufacture. Inserts for coins, coin capsules or slabs are ideally suited to the vacuum forming process. Examples of vacuum forming include the inserts used to house coins or slabs in display boxes, display trays, pages, and acrylic holders. Parts can be made with velvet or velour flocking; they can be clear or in a solid color.

Acrylic Lid and Base with Vacuum Formed Insert

Vacuum form inserts are commonly used to hold coins snuggly within an acrylic case. The example show here was formed from PET, holds 5 quarters and fits into a clear plastic case. These parts were also made in different colors and printed with State and Mint Mark information. Custom Coin Tubes

Transline currently makes coin tubes for all U.S. coin denominations under our patented Guardhouse coin tube design. Let us put that same knowledge to work to customize a coin or bullion tube to meet your requirements. Injection molded tubes can be made from polypropylene or polyethylene. They can be translucent or in a color of your choosing. Tube caps can be made one color and the bases another. We can even print your company information on our existing line of tubes or on custom-made coin tubes.

Custom Coin Capsules

Transline stocks dozens of coin capsules, and they are a fantastic off-the-shelf solution for packaging common denominations. But today governments and private mints crank out an ever-changing assortment of coin shapes and sizes. From concave coins, to casted pieces, to specialized 5 or 10 oz bullion coins or bars. Considerations of packaging often takes back seat to coin design and implementation, yet it is incredibly important to the process given that individually sold coins almost always deliver in a protective holder.
