Dansco Coin Albums have been a longtime companion for both expert numismatists and beginning coin collectors. The Franklin Half Dollars 1948-1963 Dansco Album comes in a 5/8" binder and holds up to 40 coins. The album has 2 Dansco pages (series: 7165-1 to 7165-2), each one holding and displaying all Franklin half dollars minted from 1948-1963. Designer John R. Sinnock created Franklin's likeness for the obverse and the Liberty Bell for the reverse. Due to a legal requirement to show an eagle on all half dollar coins, a small eagle was engraved next to the Liberty Bell. Franklin half dollars are made of 90% silver and 10% copper. They measure 30.6 mm in diameter, each weighing 12.50 grams. Franklin half dollars were coined at the Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco Mints.
